Fire & Emergency Plan
If a fire, explosion, or other emergency should occur, take the following steps:
1. Yell “Fire!” to notify others in the building.
2. If the fire is small, and it is safe to do so, administration or support staff should use the fire extinguisher to put out the fire. Teachers: focus on directing and helping your students. There are two fire extinguishers.

3. Exit through the nearest door (see Emergency Exit plan).
4. Administration or support staff should notify students in the washroom.
5. Students in the bathroom should exit via the main entrance unless they are blocked by a fire, in which case they should go through the front garage door.
6. Meet in the parking lot across from the Arise parking lot (The Pynacker Doors/Auto Trendz lot).
7. Administration or support staff should notify the fire department by calling 911.
8. Teachers and staff take a head count and account for all students & staff.
9. Administration or support staff should notify occupants in the unit next door.
10. Administration or support staff should notify the Arise Directors.
