Sign-In Table Attendant
Thank you for volunteering for the Arise Year-End Recital 2025!
CAREFULLY read below to find your dress code, instructions, and other important details. Then, send us an email to confirm you got it, or with any questions you may have.
- If you are volunteering for the rehearsal, your job will take place BEFORE and DURING the rehearsal.
- If you are volunteering for one of the shows, your job will ONLY take place BEFORE the show.
- When you arrive, check in with Maryann or Noelle at the ticket table in front of the theatre doors to get your badge and instructions. Noelle will be wearing a badge labelled “Backstage Coordinator”; Maryann will be wearing a badge labelled “Lobby Coordinator”.
- Your job is to sit at the sign-in table with other parent volunteers and check off kids’ and parent volunteers’ names as they arrive. Students will be organized alphabetically.
- During the dress rehearsal, you will also sign out the students when they leave.
- Arise staff will walk the students backstage once they’ve been signed in.
- There may be gaps between different classes arriving, but you must stay at the sign-in table in case there are early or late arrivals.
- Be cheery and smiley, and welcome the kids to the theatre! Help parents feel comfortable dropping them off. Do not let parents pass the sign-in table into the backstage area unless their name is on the volunteer list for that show.
- All our younger dancers will be arriving in their costumes and should put their dance shoes on before going backstage. Be sure that they don’t bring anything extra backstage with them. Parents dropping them off should keep their street clothes, street shoes, bags, toys, water bottles, etc. Arise will be providing water, snacks, and entertainment backstage. Young dancers with more than one dance should have their second costume and their other dance shoes with them in a garment bag. Only older dancers will be arriving in street clothes to change at the theatre. They can bring their dance bag with them backstage.
- If you would like to purchase a ticket for the show you are volunteering at, you can do so as you will have time to get to your seat after volunteering.
- The dress code is “semi-formal.” It doesn’t need to be too formal but think of “church clothes” or a classy party.
- Let us know if you have any questions!
