Costume Checklist: Term Classes
Please read the following information carefully. Below you will find a list of what your student needs to wear for their recital dance(s) at our June 2025 year-end recital, dress rehearsal, and photo day. (Links to hair and makeup tutorials are at the bottom.)
Note that all spring term classes are on this page. Only check the costumes for the classes your child(ren) are in.
Costume Fees will be posted to your online account by mid/late-March. You can pay your costume fees through the Parent Portal at any time, but all unpaid fees will be charged to your card on April 15th.
All costume items below fall under 1 of 3 categories:
1. "Their own" means it’s something they have and/or wear already (for example: the ballet suit they wear to class). If they don't already own the item, it is your responsibility to ensure they get one before May 1, 2025.
2. "Buy" means that this item has already been purchased for you and is included in your costume fees. You will get to keep it.
3. "Rent" means that Arise owns this item and the rental fee has been included in your costume fee. After the recital, this item must be returned to Arise in the same condition it was taken. Lost or damaged rentals will need to be replaced at your cost.

Hair and Make-Up Tutorials
Each dance includes information about how your dancers’ hair should be done. Not all dances require a bun, but if they do, check out the bun tutorials below.
Boys’ Hair & Makeup:
If your boy’s hair is long enough that it moves when he jumps, hold it in place with a small amount of gel. Use a natural powder foundation so his skin isn’t shiny under the lights. Use a touch of eyeliner to make his eyes visible from the stage.
